Well, my 4th was fucking awesome (as expected). I love that day, my favorite day of the year…the day you can just chill with family and good friends, drinks lots of beer, and have a great time. Even our temporary blindness didn’t set us back. Almost got the business form the Coach, seeing as his players were wrestling and going at it for an hour fighting over an air mattress in a pool that was waaaay over chlorinated. Luckily, I didn’t meet the same fate as last year when my vision was blurred for hours. Rob, Tim, and Danielle weren’t so lucky, lol. It was funny though. So yeah, had a wonderful day, got some sun on my unbelievably white self :) Brian even came to the BBQ when he got off work. We skipped the fireworks, but you could see some through the trees from the Creekwalk or the Steelheads stadium. We were out in the boonies in Vacaville somewhere off of 505 near Winters. We finally parted and went home at 3. Brian and I went to bed around 4-5, got up at 10:30. Then I had to go to work :( I was like a slug there, hella quiet and out of it, which is unusual. But hell, I was running on 4 hours of sleep - and it wasn’t even good sleep. Around 9 I got my 2nd wind, and decided I didn’t want to go home after. So I call my sister and find out her and my mom are going to the creekwalk to meet Rob, Art, and Al. I hurry up at work and change and race to Vacaville, zipping though traffic going 80-90 or so, got there in good time. However, the band that was supposed to play from 10-10:30 didn’t show up. So I only heard 15 minutes of the last band, which was good. Turns out I walked right past Jess and Leah! AHH! I am so blind, hehe. So yeah, we meet up with them for a whole 15 minutes. Then Al and Art decide they want to go to Stars, but Rob stays with us (who can blame him, 2 hot chicks hehe, j/p) So we’re like, what the fuck do we do now. So we go to Huey’s, a bar in downtown Vacaville and look for Jimmy. Turns out he had already left. He was house sitting for his sister, with a hot tub ;) we get directions, leave the bar, I head home for my bathing suit while Rob, Danielle, and my mom go to Stars for a few beers, I go pick up Rob, get some beer, and follow my sister and mom to Jimmy’s. We got there around 11:30-12. It was hella fun, just Jimmy, Danielle, Rob and I went in. Rob and I hate feet, so there was much teasing and Jimmy tried tickling mine and putting it in his mouth, got away just in time though :-P yuck. It was funny, they had Rob and I cuddled in a corner avoiding their feet. Can't really complain bout that though ;). Around 2, Rob gets a call and we have to go pick up Al from Stars (Art cut out early). So we get out of the hot tub and freeze our asses off. Rob went commando since he was in the hot tub in his boxers ;) hehe! With no button either, “don’t get me excited.” LOL, anyways, so yeah, we lounged around and finally went home at 5:30. I wanted to get home before daylight, but that didn’t happen. I dropped Al off, and went to AMPM for a slurpee, some water, and some cigs. Then dropped Rob off and went home and crashed. Woke up around 1:45 or so.
I am having such an awesome summer, loads of fun and laughs with some great people. I love my life right now and everyone in it. God I’m lucky. Well, Coach is already giving me the business because his players were out partying last night and we had better be in tip-top shape for our game tonight. LOL. Funny how the older players were the ones always partying and hung over for games, now it’s us… funny stuff. Hey, don’t hurt her arm, she has to be able to throw on Sunday! Don’t drown him, we need him Sunday!, don’t stay out too late, you need your sleep and energy! Haha, funny shit I tell ya. Anyways, must be going…need to shower before the games begin!
